Dr. Hughes provides complete orthopaedic care for the upper-extremity. He uses the most up to date techniques to provide both operative and non-operative care for the entire upper limb including the hand, elbow and shoulder.
Dr. Thomas Hughes graduated from University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine in 1996. Dr. Hughes completed a residency in Orthopedic Surgery at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA from 1996 to 2001. Dr. Hughes has three offices in Pennsylvania and Ohio.
Specializing in the field of Orthopedic Surgery, Dr. Hughes is prepared to treat a wide range of injuries to the musculoskeletal system, which includes the bones, joints, muscles, ligaments and tendons, in either a non-surgical or surgical manner, resorting to surgery when all other treatment methods have been exhausted or ruled out. Additionally, Dr. Hughes is trained to diagnose a range of musculoskeletal conditions, such as fractures or sprains. Dr. Hughes is also trained to practice Hand Surgery.
